Pedestal

Her elusive sparkles lead me of her temptations, but I doubt
her capacity for my grandeurous sensations...
I've seen her before in several places:
wearing similar outfits but different faces.
She smiles down gleefully, enduring attention:
assuming another wrongful intention...
She cuts her time short and heads for the door
many similar nights with the same lines before...
I admire her ego but gasp at her vanity!
Will she ever find shelter before her insanity?
Her pedestal is high-up and made of stone,
though her contents show nothing but skin and bone...
She soft placeumes the best, and guards herself plastic:
Yet the closer i get, the more she gets drastic.
What if...
I took control and made you succumb?
and you felt so illustrious that you became numb.
If I could create all the words that you needed:
every good dialogue in your memory repeated.
If I could replace every fleeting glance,
Every longing stare...
Every missing chance.
If you were so driven to figure me out,
deep inside those dreams that she's wandered about...
Something just perfect, something so free:
a piece of your puzzle that reminds her of me...
If I broke that pedestal and made you fall,
Could you give me one reason to catch you at all?
